Extension of Kuta Car Free Day (CFD) is under review

For several reasons, there are many places in Indonesia carrying out in a certain day of the week as “Car Fee Day“. Bali have indeed put the some program, especially in Kuta and on particular spot of Jalan Legian, a one-kilometer long street of night bustling spot, launched since Nov.27, 2010. Unlike in many other places whereas come to affect during day time, the Kuta Car Free Day (CFD) program started from 10PM until 5AM.

Bali Exotic Wedding have several requests from our clients to visit Jalan legian to continue their party after their wedding, spent the rest of the night to any of the night spot on Jalan Legian. The program was not a big issue for our clients, as having Jalan Legian been a free car and walking area at night indeed have given different look and a more comfortable walking area, easy and colorful night area for visitor, without cars passing.

To accommodate the visitor’s vehicle during the time, some parking spots are available such as the Legian Morning Market area, Simpang Empat Legian, Trisakti Football area, and East of Elementary School No.3 Legian. Exceptional are made for cars needed to transport the guest who wish to check-in at hotel or check-out from their hotel located on Jalan Legian (or other surrounding streets near-by with Jalan Legian is the only access), the Ambulance and Police cars.

Despite of the considerably success on this trial period, currently the program is on halt and being reviewed on how to further improve better for the sake of everyone’s interest. The extension of the plan will be informed and put on affect again once the review made by the local authorities and related parties have concluded.
